Pronto! - Ready!

Meu quilt para o intercambio está pronto. Só falta a etiqueta. Foi uma ótima experiência. Dos 32 bloquinhos, errei um e tive que refazer. A técnica em si não é difícil, mas requer planejamento e concentração na hora da costurar para não misturar os paninhos. O quilt à máquina - tudo de florzinhas, para ficar bem primaveril! Espero que a minha parceira de troca goste...vai para bem longe! My quilt for the swap is ready. It just needs a label. It was a great piecing experience. Of the 32 blocks, I made a mistake on one of them and had to redo it. The technique in itself is not difficult, but it requires careful planning and concentration when sewing and putting it together so you don't get the fabrics all mixed up. The machine quilting - all flowers, so it is really springy! I hope my swap partner likes it...it's going to go very far away!

Blocos Primavera / Spring Blocks

Tecidos já escolhidos, moldes prontos, agora só costurar. Acho que vai ficando bom. Vai dar um pouco de trabalho mas vai valer a pena. Desta vez meu quilt vai para bem longe. Morrendo de curiosidade de ver o que vou receber... Fabric is already chosen, patterns ready, now it's sewing time. I think it's coming along fine. It's going to take some work but it's all worth it. This time my quilt is travelling far. I'm dying to see what I am going to receive!

Intercâmbio - Spring Swap

Várias quilteiras de lugares longinquos tem me pedido para postar também em inglês. Daqui em diante postarei também na lingua da internet, e aos poucos irei atualizando as postagens antigas... Depois de pensar e planejar cheguei finalmente à decisão final para meu quilt de intercâmbio. É uma variação da idéia original e uma técnica que faz tempo estou querendo testar.

Agora falta ver os tecidos para ficar o mais fiel ao que estou imaginando. Tenho até final de abril para acabar porque tem que estar no correio até começo de maio. Áchei que ficou bem primaveril, vamos caprichar nas cores! Many quilters from far-away places have asked me to post in english as well. So, from now on, I will post in the internet's language and slowly update older posts. After thinking and planning I came to the final decision for my swap quilt. It's a variation on the original idea and a technique I have been wanting to try for a long time. Now I just have to choose the fabric so it will be just what I imagined. I have until the end of April to finish it because it has to be mailed until beginning of May. I think it looks "springy", just needs some great colors!

Agora primaveril / Now Springy

Estou novamente participando do Four Seasons Quilt Swap organizado pela Margaret. É um intercambio de mini-quilts com participantes do mundo inteiro. Participei da versão Inverno e agora vem a da Primavera, a pesar de que no Brasil estamos entrando no outono. Coisas do hemisfério norte! Entre no blog para ver como participar, mas tem que se apressar, as vagas são limitadas! Uma das minhas idéias para o "swap"é fazer flores com esta técnica:

Once again I am participating in the Four Seasons Quilt Swap, organized by Margaret. It's a seasonal mini-quilt swap with quilters from around the world. I participated in the winter edition and now comes the spring version, eventhough in Brasil we are entering fall!
